Are you unsure how to jump into the NIL world? We recommend dipping your toe in the water by creating merchandise using the Nillie platform and becoming a student- athlete entrepreneur.

Nillie is the platform for student-athlete entrepreneurs where athletes can build unique brands and sell merch to fans with no overhead or upfront cost. Simply use sharable links to market merchandise to fans on social media. We are here to help all along the way.

Athletes who join the platform are also featured on the Name Image Likeness podcast. Additionally, athletes are provided with appropriate disclosure documentation to share with their school’s athletic program – let’s stay in compliance, folks!

Once (or before) those athletes create some merch with their brand, our Framework NIL courses are there to make sure they have the knowledge to successfully navigate any and every NIL opportunity they come across.

Looking to partner with a brand? We’ve got your back!

Are you in search of brand partnerships? Would you like to get paid to promote a brand? Becoming a brand ambassador is a great way to make money as an athlete. Here are a few things to consider before signing any contracts!

Before you do anything, search the brand’s website, social media feeds, testimonials, and other available information that might allow you to gauge the brand’s mission and values. Try to find information about the brand’s image and positioning. This will ensure that your values align with the brand’s.

Consider if the brand has already partnered with another athlete. Do their values and interests align with your personal brand? Also, consider a brand’s competition – once you partner with a brand, you shouldn’t partner with its competitors – so make sure you don’t paint yourself into a corner.

Next, consider the contractual terms. What does the brand expect from you? Will you promote the brand on social media? Make in-person appearances? Do you have the time to commit to this agreement?

Finally, think about how you will be paid. Will you be paid for your work in cash, discount codes, merchandise, or something else? Remember that all of these forms of payment are taxable, even if you are paid in merchandise.
